We are still seeking a long-term solution to the problem. In the meantime, please switch to SFTP on port 22, or change the connection details from lw900.usbx.me to lw900-direct.usbx.me (you will receive a certificate warning, but itâs OK to accept). Please note that SFTP and FTPS are equally secure. â ī¸ Jellyfin 10.9.x Upgrade Issues Many clients have reported issues and database corruption when upgrading Jellyfin from 10.8.x to 10.9.x. Until the Jellyfin developers resolve these issues, we have frozen Jellyfin in the User Control Panel (UCP) - https://cp.ultra.cc to 10.8.13. Performing an upgrade from the UCP will only upgrade older versions to 10.8.13. We appreciate some clients are prepared to risk upgrading, and therefore we have enabled this from SSH using this command app-jellyfin upgrade -v latest. We recommend you backup your Jellyfin databases first. You can find them here: ~/.apps/jellyfin/data/data. đŋ Plex upgrades Some Plex upgrades perform database transformations. If you have an extensive Plex library, you may have to wait up to an hour after upgrading before your Plex instance restarts. Please be patient and donât restart or upgrade/repair for at least 1 hour after your initial upgrade. â Stable/Launched Features * UCP = User Control Panel - https://cp.ultra.cc UCP: Added "Need More?" option under disk usage to advise clients on how to get more storage (upgrade plan). UCP: Added tooltips to Manage Webserver, Disk Usage & Traffic Usage to provide user-friendly guidance. UCP: WebDAV Access Point is now displayed in the Connect tab. NZBGet is no longer marked as DEPRECATED as the project has a new maintainer. Feel free to upgrade via the UCP. qBittorrent 4.6.3 is now out of beta, but the default installation option remains 4.3.9. Homarr app is out of beta. A new command added to return the version of each application installed. Use app-appname version, for example, app-qbittorrent version. New Doc: Crontab Explainer for setting-up scheduled tasks. New Doc: Unofficial Scripts Hub to make scripts more findable. Unofficial scripts moved to a new repository. Please use the guide above for any future installs. Removal of C++ Unofficial install script until next Debian upgrade. The Autoscan script has been fixed. The Notifiarr script now installs the latest version. The FileBot script now installs the latest version. đ§Ē Beta Features All clients are welcome to test these new features, but we do not offer formal support. Beta features may be removed without notice if serious issues are identified. New monitoring application Uptime Kuma. Install via SSH with app-uptimekuma install --password {a new password} UCP: The WireGuard config files can now be labeled to help remind clients which config is used where. ruTorrent now added to the UCP as the beta install option. đ¯ Planned Features Upgrade all servers to Debian 12. Service Enhancements June 2024
Welcome to the Service Announcement for June 2024. Do you have a request for a new app? Have you thought of a way to make the service better? Have your say at feedback.ultra.cc. We welcome your suggestions and upvotes of what you want to see on Ultra.cc Tank Storage Plans We have decided to retire the Tank Storage plans. If you already have one, donât worry - NOTHING changes for you. We are just not accepting new Tank Storage orders. Tank Streaming plans are unaffected. New App Vault Plans (the Netherlands Only) We are introducing a new plan tier named App Vault. These new plans are for clients seeking more storage space at a highly competitive price. They offer the same applications and fantastic support as all our other HDD plans. There are just two differences, both related to traffic: The monthly upload quota is slightly lower for App Vault vs. the same storage point on Tank Streaming. The upload speed is throttled to 1gb/s. As with all plans, download speeds are never throttled. Both storage and traffic are expensive commodities. App Vault is aimed at clients prioritizing storage space over traffic upload limits. So, it is an excellent choice for data hoarders who need more storage and are less concerned about how fast their torrent seeding is (torrent download speed is unaffected). Q & A Where can I see a list of the new plans? Visit our homepage and scroll down to App Vault plans. Who can purchase these new plans? Anyone. These plans are open to new and existing clients. What does the 1gb/s upload throttle mean? This sets the upper limit on the upload speed, e.g., torrent seeding speed. It does not affect how fast your torrents will download. Is App Vault right for me? Unless you upload a lot of data and need unthrottled upload speed, YES! However, we recommend Bolt plans for heavy newsgroup (nzb) usage and for any other disk-intensive applications. How do I upgrade? Check out our upgrade guide. Will you offer these plans in Canada or Singapore? For now, no. We'll see how popular they are. Recent OpenVPN issue All clients who use the Ultra.cc OpenVPN should redownload the config files from the UCP. We have reissued the keys on some servers, that could cause connections to fail. Stable/Launched Features The left-hand menu in the User Control Panel (UCP) now has a link to our documentation site. In addition, the Apps and Installers tabs of the UCP now have links to the relevant application documentation. Weâve also made some color changes to the buttons to make them look pretty! ruTorrent and Nextcloud installers now inform clients of the dependencies on rTorrent and MariaDB, respectively. Flaresolverr now has a new --version switch from app-flaresolverr install and app-flaresolverr upgrade, so specific versions can be installed. In the UCP we have split AutoDL-Irssi and ruTorrent installers due to user confusion. They are now separate installers. If youâre using AutoDL-Irssi, you may want to consider AutoBrr as an alternative with a better UI. Clients who previously installed AutoDL-Irssi under the ruTorrent Actions menu will not see AutoDL-Irssi in the Apps tab. To fix, go to the Installers tab and reinstall. The Jellyfin installer in the UCP now offers the choice of v10.8.3 (stable) and latest (beta). You may be aware that the latest versions of Jellyfin have had some issues that their developers are resolving. If you have Jellyfin v10.8.3 or lower already installed, you can only upgrade using app-jellyfin upgrade --version version-number from ssh. We have replaced the bedok.usbx.me server in Singapore and moved all drives to a brand new server (still called bedok). This became necessary due to some drives periodically dropping out of service. The issue has not reoccurred since making the move, but we remain vigilant. We have added a custom error message to ruTorrent to make it clearer when rTorrent needs to be restarted. Beta Features All clients are welcome to test these new features, but we do not offer formal support. Only install if you are prepared to accept some errors and instability. Unofficial support is available only in â #discussion. Beta features may be removed without notice if serious issues are identified. ruTorrent v4.3.2 is available for beta testing via ssh - more info in â announcements. qBittorrent v4.6.3 is available in the UCP as a beta installation option. Our guide will help you upgrade if youâre willing to be a beta tester. Homarr beta is now installable from the UCP. WebDAV protocol support via Nginx Webserver. You asked, and we listened. Please note that WebDAV WILL use your upload quota, the same as basic https. Planned Features We are planning on a program of work to upgrade all servers to Debian 12 (Bookworm). This will be our priority over the coming month. Unique naming for Wireguard Configurations. Uptime-Kuma for application monitoring. We hope that you find this update useful. Thank you for remaining a loyal client. Team Ultra.cc
Service Enhancements April 2024
Welcome to the Service Announcement for April 2024. Have your say at feedback.ultra.cc. We also welcome your suggestions and upvotes for what you want to see on Ultra.cc Stable/Launched Features Good news for customers who enjoy the Overseerr, Jellyseerr, and AudioBookShelf apps! We now offer these apps on a sub-domain. This means no more annoying authentication pop-ups on Overseerr and Jellyseer, and we can offer https with AudioBookShelf. Homarr will also have this feature (see below). Old URL format: https://username.servername.usbx.me/appname (this will still work, but will continue to use the NGINX hack to mitigate the lack of URL BASE paths). New URL format https://appname-username.servername.usbx.me/ (no more pop-ups!). For example, if your username is docs and your server is leto, then for Overseerr: Your old URL was https://docs.leto.usbx.me/overseerr Your new URL is https://overseerr-docs.leto.usbx.me/ Added a new qBittorrent section in our Find Corrupted Torrents guide. Plex Meta Manager has rebranded to Kometa, and the script and guide have been updated. Challenger II 22TB service is now available in our Canada data center. UCP Addition - Link to traffic addon Doc under the traffic bar chart. UCP Addition - Link to Client Area from the UCP left-hand menu (note they still use different passwords). New crypto payment options as an alternative to Coinbase: BTCPay for LTC, BTC, MATIC and Base coins. BitPay for ETH. Third-party wallets or accounts are not required. Beta Features Unpackerr available on Tank Streaming plans - Leopard and higher only. We may remove this feature if it causes high disk io on the Tank Streaming plans. Added server dashboard app Homarr. Installation via SSH only: app-homarr install -p "enter-a-new-password" Access with the URL https://homarr-username.servername.usbx.me/ As for all beta features, please add your feedback to â testing-feedback and request help in #discussion. Planned ruTorrent 4.3 - We are awaiting a Hotfix. Once this is released, we will add as a beta app. Separate Autodl-irssi from ruTorrent due to customer feedback. Also ruTorrent 4 does not support it. Allow naming of Wireguard configurations on the User Control Panel. Introduce WebDAV support. Uptime-Kuma - now that we have our subdomain framework, we can review offering this app. We hope that you find this update useful. Thank you for remaining a loyal client. Team Ultra.cc
